I think it is a shame that Plant has developed a crush on Alison Krauss....
He doesn't owe anybody anything but I looked forward to them touring..bythe time they get around to it they will be in wheelchairs and Plant's voice will have lost even more range..

What is going on with Plant/Krauss - I get the feeling there is a "Krauss Crush" floating around somewhere between those 2.... after all, she is "very easy on the eyes".... and then has a voice like an angel, I bet Robert flushed his viagra down the toilet...

re: HELTER - "Only complaint I have is there's nothing played from IN THROUGH THE OUT DOOR (their last and one of there weakest albums) IN THE EVENING would have been a nice treat."

It's possible that they deliberately avoided songs In Through The Out Door
because it was Bonham's final album etc... Might never play anything
from that album..out of respect or superstition. (?)

Interesting theory SNC. It is true that those last couple years were not the best for the band. I guess Page was pretty out of it during the last album (I suppose that's why it's such a keyboard heavy Plant/Jones album) and 1979's Knebworth Shows seem to have been the last hooray as the short 1980 European Tour was so VERY low key. I know that at some point IN THE EVENING/HOT DOG/ALL MY LOVE were played live but that's it... FOOL IN THE RAIN (which can be found on YouTube live with Plant and Pearl Jam) and I'M GONNA CRAWL were 2 other good ones that deserved a try out live... if only BONHAM had held back a bit on the drinking that day things would have been MUCH different, OH WELL, what can you do?....it's all so fragile....

Plant knows what the Zep fans want but he doesnt care(obviously) or maybe hes just too old to rock. The Krause crap hes doing is for "the patron of the arts" crowd and supper clubs plus all the other musicians can sit around and moon over him.

I didnt mention anything about selling out, so I'm not sure what the point is.
Going off in a different and less financially lucrative musical direction than the far easier one that made you rich and famous is a funny way of selling out, I would have thought.

I'm sure he isn't turning down the money from any of the rereleased Zep stuff either. His morals apparantly go only so far.

So what is this fascination with Kraus and Plant being lovers? Isn't Plant married?

I don't see why assume Plant and zeppelin couldn't put together a credible performance.. they were pretty good at O2 which is why people are excited about seeing them.. It would be different if they had stunk up the joint but if that was their performance after not playing together for decades one can only imagine how good they would be after a few shows..
No one is asking Plant to do what he doens't want to do but the idea that he is doing something that is more valid or has more value as art is ridiculous..if you've heard the plant/krauss album its a snoozathon.... So if he doesn't want to perform as zep at least do something else worthwhile..but certainly lets not use the pretense that his tour with Krauss is something worthwhile..
having said that i hope its clear that plant can do whatever he wants..
