She Said Yeah: In case anyone didn't know...

Don't know if it's been mentioned here before,
but She Said Yeah was co-written by none other than Sonny Bono
under the pseudonym Sonny Christie when he worked for Liberty Records.
So next time you wanna snicker when you hear the name Sonny Bono, think again,
as that's a great rock and roll song.
Great version by McCartney, too.
As we all probably know, Bono also co-wrote Needles And Pins.

Sonny was no hack. He also worked for Phil Spector.

He was all too happy to play the dummy onscreen much like Tommy Smothers did for the Smothers Brothers Show.

I've always felt somewhat ashamed to admit I dug Sonny & Cher, similar to the Bee Gees.

Salvatore "Sonny" Bono was very accomplished indeed. He played the complete idiot on television but had a great deal of talent and business savvy. He sir, no question about it.

Very good points and observations about him TomK.

OK cool, that's funny. Now - maybe they could play the damn thing live? There are quite a few really kick ass tunes from those very early albums that are not hits that would be excellent to hear live.

Let's not forget the original Larry Williams version folks, a neglected artist these days considering the influence he had on so many in the mid 60s.

But The RS' version is the ultimate! : )

I can't believe the Stones did that.....and that looks like Barbara Streisand behind Keith & his tuba! Probably not, though.
