Starf**ker book and exhibtion

Hi Guys

Have just bought a copy of the book, '@#$%&', by Nobby Clark. He took photos of the Stones in concert at Earls Court in 1976 for the Observer newspaper. They published only a couple and the rest were 'lost' until Nobby found the films again.
The photos are amazing. Mick particularly looks good.
I wasn't there in '76, but know someone who was. That stage looks wild!
There was an exhibition in London at the GX Gallery, but I think it's finished now.
Well, check the book out on Amazon and drop big hints about Christmas to all your friends and relatives!!

You chose wisely.

Last I heard from Amazon, they were looking at the second week in October for delivery!

It's looking nice!

Can you tell us some more about it? Good new pics? Text too?
Btw. What is the size of this book?
Thanx

smashin' pix; totally into the ultra mega-droogie with those stage clothes.
perfect and important pix. those fierce and beautiful almost alien creatures working out some dirty musics and mick all flying about like a ballet bullet in a rock and roll gun...and thattsa perfect name for the tour and book too. been really leaning into HG and other earlier versions of it lately.

little fashion puffs exploding into blazes of casual brilliance. the shot of ron is perfect. the one where keith looks so haggard and beautiful all at once...really cool shots...
loved the one where you can see all five from a bit of distance too; of course chollie and bill get one shot each; more coverage of charles here than in the shine a light pic tho.

the fashion is actually more like what Faces dressed when circa 1970-71; one of those suits that keith's wearing is outta site elegant...lol...lovin' it...next on the red carpet, the mickster wearing nothing or that cool leather jacket over those long cuffed sleeves...jesu christo mio i've been channeling heidi klune or sumpin'...
i've never seen any of those shots before and really loved the 17 they showed and tyvm for the link.

My absolute favourite is the one that's actually the back cover of the book, with Mick all bathed in yellow light. I've never really thought of Mick as a handsome guy, but in that and some of the other pics he looks so great. Somehow the photographer, Nobby Clark, brought something out in Mick.

Saw this thread and had to order the book from Amazon . Fantastic pics . You'll understand from my log in that this was the first time I had seen The Stones live . Can't remember too much about the show except that The Meters were support , HTW was the opening song , the famous stage and phallus and my first ever Stones Tour T Shirt .
Anyone else have memories of these gigs ?
