Does anyone know where to find specific recording information regarding No Security? Like actual places and dates each song was recorded? I am kind of a geek about this information when I load CDs onto my iPod....so any help is greatly appreciated!

rattler2004, I just refered to what was written on Nico's site. I didn't post it as the 'absolute truth'.

I've never tried to figure out from which shows each song came or which songs were overdubbed etc...in fact I've never really cared about that record.

Nope..definitely not from the 10 Spot. Listen to how Mick sings the last line: "bed sheets stained reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed" compare the two and you'll see the huge difference. A near perfect version except for Mick's sour note at the end there...

hey t&a look here theif in the night was performed somewhere else other that what you said nuremberg- 13.6.98. i got a kick out of this because somebody sets up a database and all of a suddden it's gospel,as opposed to a eyewitness that was actualy there .you know what it wouldnt stand up in a court of law

'Thief in the Night' is definitely from Nuremburg.

Nico's information is correct. The source info for the tracks was also posted on this site in early November 1998, the same week as the album's release.

the only error in both Nico's and IORR's pages are that that the mixing and overdubs were done on June 22-24 1998 in Paris. It was actually July 22-24, during the downtime the Stones had between their shows in Barcelona (20/7) and Paris (25/7)

No offense or attack intended on my part....just merely an observation from me....I simply didn't know.

It's never been listed who plays that O/D acoustic guitar on Thief In The Night. Or is that...Blondie?

Did they ever perform 'How Can I Stop' on this tour? If so, are there any recordings?

Since no one's mentioned it, "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" from the Japanese edition is from July 1, Amsterdam -- my first close-up b-stage experience!

Keith Richards winking smiley

Who plays acoustic on Thief? It sounds like an overdub to me - and it sounds like Keith Richards playing it. What I can't figure out is WHY. That's just so lame. It's already on the studio version.

can't hear/see any acoustic gtr so it seems like overdub to me indeed!

Uhhhhhgggggg - you can't hear ANYTHING on that. Yet alone that's not the version on the album!

Ah....the beginning of Keith's guitar-less sets.

Nevertheless...a great song he should bring back.

This clip isnt from the No security tour - its from the final 1998 BTB show in Istanbul

Tim Ries didnt join the band until 1999. The second keyboardist is Pierre de Beauport, who usually filled in on that song. Andy Snitzer occasionally doubled up on keyboards on that tour as well.

This is one album where I don't hear a lot of overdubs.

I have Waiting On A Friend from the broadcast and I played it and the NS version and it's the same.

Ha ha - this album is from the Bridges tour. How could it be from the NS tour? Ha ha. That's funny.
