Didn't she announce she was going do a Bond song despite being ditched by the Bond people? She probably to wasted to remember it, but I would like to hear her song.

It's probably better then this new song. Adding strings and lyrics about death doesn't nessicarily result in a great Bond theme song. That being said, it's still better then Die Naother Day by Madonna which is the worst Bond song ever!

I think it's fantastic!

I seem to recall that the Stones were approached to do the theme song for Goldeneye, but were "too busy" taking $1 million off Bill Gates at the time.

Sounds like it was simply written to score the title animation, to compliment the visuals. I'll hold judgement until I see it in it's intended context; in the theatre watching the new Bond intro.
