more like: no one who can figure out what you're trying to ask.
maybe you could try phrasing the question a little more clearly?

Well I guess they are official releases since Abkco chose to do it(at least some of them) in the mid 70s but i always was under the impression session guys were used alot because most were demos for Andrew to peddle to other acts? I like the easy way it reads to see who played on what. A couple of questions it raises for me are 1) is Andy White the same one that George Martin wanted on Love Me Do and 2) on Heart of Stone it states Page on bass and I always thought he played the lead break(which it seems Keith duplicated note for note on the released single version). One other thing, I recently obtained Chris Farlowes hits cd and it sounds like they used the exact same inst. track of "Out of Time" that appears on Meatamorphisis. Chris also does a KILLER version on "Think". Real Otis Reading style!

... okay where's Rockman? Aaron Neville recorded it, but did he co-write it??
Allen Toussaint sometimes used the pen name Naomi Neville, i know ... i'm confused :E

with sssoul:

My question speaks for it self:
Are the tracks on wich JmcM and JP played the official releases or are they bootlegs?
I don't recognize their playing..,but maybe that was their quality as session players.

Over You is a cover of an Aaron Neville tune (a collaboration between Neville and Allen Toussaint)

Over You - A fantasy of murder & burial if his babe ever leaves him

Recorded by Aaron Neville
Minit records 1960 - penned by Allen Toussaint & Allen Orange
Toussaint produced and most likely played piano on the track

There'll be some slow walkin'
Gonna be some sad talkin'
There'll be some flowers bringin'
Gonna be some sad singin'
Over you, i say over you
Over you, pretty baby
If i ever hear you say we're through

There'll be some long black limousines
People peepin' from their window screens
Parade of cars with their headlights on
All of that will be goin' on
Over you, i said over you
Over you, pretty baby
If i ever hear you say we're through

There'll be a hole about six feet deep
For you baby to take your sleep
Into a pine box an' down you'll go
Where you will stay where it's free of snow
Over you, i said over you
Over you, pretty baby
If i ever hear you say we're through

All your folks will be dressed in black
Ride a long black cadillac
Yeah, baby they'll be puttin' you away
The funeral home'll have the business that day
Over you, i said over you
Over you, pretty baby
If i ever hear you say we're through

Say i want to slay you baby, whoa now
Over you, pretty baby
If i ever hear you say we're through

Say you'll never leave me
I say you'll never leave me
Say i'm gonna get rid of you , baby
If i ever hear you say we're through

Whoa, i love you
No tellin' what i'd do
That's why baby
I want to do all these things to you

I know that Jimmy Page played the guitar solo on the demo version of 'Heart Of Stone' (Keith admitted copying it for the RS version!).

Allen Orange was a New Orleans based singer who recorded
2-3 singles for the Minit label mid-60's...Penned a few tracks with
Toussaint and by him self for other artists...

Naomi Neville...
Was Toussaint's mothers name...Which Toussaint
sometimes used as writers credit

meanwhile in case it helps Amsterdamned any:
nzentgraf.de has John McLaughlin listed on guitar on I'd Much Rather Be With the Boys on Metamorphosis,
and Jimmy Page as possibly being on guitar on the Metamorphosis version of Out of Time.

as Sleepy City said Page also played on one version of Heart of Stone;
nzentgraf doesn't specify him on the Metamorphosis version of that one,
but if you click on his name, the Time Is On Our Side site does: [www.timeisonourside.com]
