I have this video of keith singing and playing I'm Ready with some New Orleans band, probably got it from YouTube I guess.

What's the background of this concert, when did it occur, who is (in) the band, anyone?

I was at the filming of the stage sequences for "Make it Funky."
It was during Jazz Festival 2004 in New Orleans.
I heard they were offering tickets for the filming and that Keith Richards was rumored to be there.
Of course, I headed straight to the box office and was lucky enough to see a fantastic show.
The film is a documentary showcasing New Orleans music with Keith Richards and Bonnie Raitt guesting. Joss Stone was also there, but I don't think she made it onto the DVD.

the Make It Funky dvd is really worthwhile - besides some very cool performances,
i learned a lot about New Orleans musical traditions

yeah, it's an excellent movie. It was released here in NYC shortly after the hurricane, which made going to see it all the more relevant. But I wouldn't mind seeing it again anyway.

I ordered the dvd, expecting it to arrive in a couple of days
