The one and only time I watched the film, I remember getting a "Mick" feeling as well from Curry's performance. I could easily picture Mick going for it
Glad he didn't, though, cause the movie didn't do it for me... But maybe it would have if it was for Mick.. The soundtrack is really nice, anyway!

I went to my share of midnight double-feature picture shows back in the 70s, but was never a fan of this movie.

I say go for it, Hollywood has remade a TON of films MUCH better than this.
I guess they'll be remaking Rear Window and Gone with the Wind soon.
