Any info about the sales of the DVD?
On Billboard, it didn't chart on the Top 10 of the DVD sales or Music videos this week (but the CD re-entered the Soundtracks chart at #21)

Why? It did ok in the cinema?

It's one of the top music DVD rentals on Netflix I saw.

Saw it in Stores for between $22 and 25. Barns and noble web has it for $18+
I went into the store and it was $29, so I ordered it on line (no shipping charge) and look forward to getting in by mid next week....That's one sale.

The usual suspects will buy, but nobady after that..maybe a few. After a few watches, I think it was a bad idea to even do it. The editing is HORRIBLE, and the performance is worse...

its not so much that as much as the fact that the bonus stuff is minimal

The DVD has been #1 in "MUSIC" all week @ Amazon.

The BLUE RAY has been #2 in "MUSIC" all week @ Amazon.

Both versions are all week ahead of #3 ZZ TOP, which currently sits #1 on Billboard MUSIC DVD.

I have no idea how the Amazon rankings work in relation to overall sales in USA, but if it was #1 DVD & #2 BLUE RAY all week, couldn't you expect there to be similar sales positions for other outlets, hence making it around about a top 3 entry?

I would be quite surprised if it was #1 & #2 at Amazon, but failed to chart anywhere else?

Also, it was #6 position outright for a while for "ALL MOVIES / BOX SETS / DVDS", & no other MUSIC DVD even featured in the top 50 of this chart.

Maybe Billboard is yet to update their charts?

This would have to be a surefire #1 entry worldwide at least for 1 week wouldn't it?, regardless of those out there who just wish to tear strips off it & seem to want it to fail.

I hope it to do very well overall.

I take it that the dvd is widely available in the us now?

And the reason i am asking is that my sister in law is flying to boston today, and thinking of asking her to obtain a copy for me.

Have to ask which is the best store to obtain one from and is there any special editions on sale and worth buying.

Would pprecite any quick answers, has she flies dinnertime.

I am in the Boston area, it is generally selling in the $20 range,haven't yet found a "special edition", not sure they even exist. You can get it at Best Buy, Circuit City, Newbury Comics on Newbury Street, Boston, and I THINK Target had it.

I've just come back from a holiday in Boston and I had a great time. It's a nice city in a lovely area. Nice folks too.

Newbury Comics was a find. What a good shop.

Why be negative ? The movie was great and appreciated by those who saw it. I think the percentage of buyis 5 % < x < 10 %. We'll see the score.

I didn't see it in the theatres, I thought 'what the hell'.

Tomorrow I'll get the full Billboard's video charts.

It reached #9 on iTunes (US) for movie sales last week.

Target has it for $19.99. Why not just $20?

I would think it wouldn't do that well on the charts - maybe the first week will see something but after that it's gone - because with exception to die hard fans, a majority of people who bothered to go see it in theatres probably don't care. It's not nearly as riveting or good as Gimme Shelter and it lacks in overallness that is available on The Biggest Bang, which I find to be far superiour. It's still a fantastic music movie though - I just wish someone else would have done it - as in director.

VERY strange because Four Flicks and The Biggest Bang were #1 on the Music Video charts.

Yet, the CD re-entered the Soundtracks chart at #21 this week.

But where on the Top 200 do the Soundtracks sit? Obviously amount of sales. So if it's not in the Top 200 then it's hardly selling.

I dunno. It will probably sell better once they go on tour in 2010 or whenever.
