Good question!
As much as I love Loving Cup and a whole bunch of other ones, Satisfaction is what they are best known for, so if you think of it that way, that's what I choose.
In terms of personal preference, Gimme Shelter.
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

one hit wonder... haha... it's just a term for radio listeners while driving their cars, come on! if you love music, you never stop on 1 song! it's like Mott the Hoople... everybody knows "All the Young Dudes", but what about "All the Way From Memphis" and other wonderful tunes, huh?

Interesting question. Some of their classic songs are just too profound to think they had nothing else to put across in the future, so with a little different reasoning, here's my choice
"Time is On My Side"
While very memorable, it kind of has that rough sixties garage sound that some of the one hitters had. Nothing profound in the lyrics (boy vs. girl stuff), not a lot of indicators of what was to come in the next couple of years, but like I said definitely causes a pause and a "who are these guys?".
Other one hitters like ? and the Mysterians, Barbarians, Syndicate of Soul(not sure I have that name right),etc. had that snarling, blues based sound.

Interesting question. In my mind, a one hit wonder, is really a shitty tune that has a nice hook. So with that said, I would say Start Me Up.

No, which of their singles had the potential to have been a one hit wonder? It shouldn't be "typical Stones sound" because if one of that type had been a hit, probably others would be also. It shouldn't sound much like anything else that was around at the time, nor like anything else the Stones did shortly afterwards. I picked Paint It Black, but I think She's a Rainbow is another good choice - or maybe Little Red Rooster - still to this day the only true blues to make it to No. 1 in the UK.
