I'll admit its ropey to say the least but I'm never one to judge from cell phone recordings

....I don't judge those either ablett....so, rock on Keith.....(but was he even playing in the right key?....I couldn't even recognize the song.......the Chuck Berry licks are cute but kind of tiring....oh well....damn cell phone)

Perhaps Tell me Sister M can shed some light?

It is dodgy though....

... they simply have made a fortune on passing off something that they even think is exceptional, (who would of thought the stones would end up being the ulimate posers), the audience will by anything, even stamp'd made in china which basically has been there routine for decades now. ... quit remarkable,, i recall seeing/seeing 'respectable' on an LA B stage a couple of years ago, it was sooo bad and phony ill never return to such sloppy hasbeen fakery......

Just how Keith likes it...all about Keith.

Keith sounds fine. It just seems off because we hear JUST him in the mix. Short for a few bum notes...very few..Keith sounds fine. Playing more aggresively than I remember from 2007. I had to check the date to make sure when it was.

Had we been provided a perfect mix with the rest of the band...no one would've said a thing. It would've been a great version. What happened in this video is liking separating mustard from a hot dog. Mustard by itself is salty, bitter and practically disgusting on its own....but when it's together with the hotdog, bun, and everything on it....it's splendid.

well, I don't like mustard. I just like ketchup and relish. But I agree with your general point.

Hey, I didn't say "Super good", just super close. I'm not going to rag on it, though. Too much of that going on. It's an interesting video, filmed on a crappy cell phone and the mix is way off....despite all that, its still cool.....you do realize thats Keith Richards, the coolest dude on Earth, don't you? 'Nuff said.

Oh dear...Well Keith doesn't seem to mind.
I've been in a band, where one of the guys was always wasted and it was really irritating and hard. Do you go on stage to play your ass off or why are you there? To show the audience that you're "cool" enough to be so wasted you can't play.

In Helsinki last year it was easy to see, that no one in the band were enjoying the show, they were struggling to hold the thing together. Keith was soooo out of this world. I left the stadium crying.

as every one knows who's been 1th row at the b stage:

it is always a train wreck. You hear the amps and the PA comes from the main stage, with a second delay, so it sounds horrible. The experience is unforgetable though

The amps from the b-stage i ment ofcourse

I think it is fun to hear Keith so seperated from the others. I like what he does here. I truely do!

it's freakin fascinating to have just the mustard once in a while! thanks for posting this, woody4prez.
Dusseldorf was a very hot show, and Hamburg was even hotter

one of my best memories was that you could hear ronnie sing a along that night

Hey Tell me....I would love to have been as close to the B stage as you were. That will be something you can remember forever.

hey woody, I was standing that close to the stage B too, but it was a bit too high for me. and the sound was awful! nothing like when they were on the A stage. I recognized Honky Tonk Women (which I know every second by heart) in the middle of it!
anyway yeah, I loved it... :-)

LOL Rockman - much better than the mustard/hot dog analogy.

Indeed. I saw two ABB shows fifteen feet from Keith and both times that pair of Fender amps, pointed out sideways, created enormous audible confusion. IORR is NOTHING compared to the way Satisfaction came across.

Correct. The delay is caused by the fact that the B-stage, especially at stadium shows, is a considerable distance from the main stage. Even at the speed of sound, it takes the sound coming from the main stage PA about two or three tenths of a second to reach the B-stage, so it's like you're hearing two separate performances, a split second out of synch.

It's worth it, though. 15 minutes of pure magic.

That's why it's always best to be up front. You get no echo from the b stage. And they always kick ass down there (Dreaming about the Copenhagen 2003 b stage ----> STUNNING).

Not great but not as bad as hearing only Linda from a Wings concert.

ROCKMAN, where do I find this 10 girl orgy?
