Perfection or changings ?

What would you prefer the Stones to do?
To make a short setlist, don't change it during the whole tour and play it perfectly night after night? (Like '72 '72 tours)
Or to make longer setlists, change songs between shows but play them a little worse ? (Licks Tour for example)
Sorry for my english ; I'm a french little boy (but I like it)
