On the credit of Continental Drift : Keith acoustic guitar , bicycle

How the heck is our hero playing that bicycle ? By ringing the bell or just kicking it ?

He's said he spun the wheel against a knife blade. I've forgotten the particular knife he used, but he said you get a sound with a knife blade against spokes that no other object can match. I'll take his word for that!

"I made that metallic noise at the beginning of the song with a knife against a bicycle wheel.
I supposed you could do it with a spoon. But it wouldn't sound as good as it does with the knife.
Kids, don't try this in your own homes; these men are trained professionals."
- Keith Richards, 1989 quoted on [www.timeisonourside.com]

Wasn't he playing the bicycle wheel with drumsticks? On Continental Drift anyway. I wonder if I remember correctly, but can't it bee seen in the BBC documentary from their trip to Marocco? At least barely?

EDIT: Several sources say that he used Sticks, brush, spoon and knife.

On the tour how about the PPV when Mick was in the middle of Honky Tonk and he was pulling on one of the dolls and then he looks into the camera and just about loses it cracking up!
