1960's: Satanic Majesties
1970s: Its only rock n roll
1980s: Emotional Rescue
1990s: No Security (too many boring guest artists, fairly dull track-listing)
2000s: Rarities

1960s: 12X5
1970s: It's Only Rock'N'Roll
1980s: Dirty Work
1990s: Jump Back
2000s: Forty Licks

Eh, compilation albums...Jump Back has Rock And A Hard Place on it - otherwise it might be perfect. Licks has 2 out of 4 shitty new songs on it. Really, Don't Stop should have been the only new song, the rest left for whatever, and they should have had more hits on it.

2000's: Live Licks

Satanic
Stone Age
Dirty Work
Vodoo Lounge
2000 still ongoing can't decide yet, would have to go with Live Licks, but some of it is great! ABB is pretty lackluster now that some time has passed.

I agree with you stone-relics but a choice of you would be fun.... take the hardest decade the 60ties I probably agree on your choice again

STRICTLY STUDIO ALBUMS:

1960's: SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST
If they had included We Love You and Dandelion and eliminated Sing This All Together (And See What Happens) this would have been a masterpiece of the psychedelic era...

1970's: BLACK AND BLUE
Again...lots of good stuff left in the studio vaults (SLAVE, etc...). Another masterpiece avoided...

1980's: DIRTY WORK
The Stones tearing each other apart and looking for a place in the New Rock Order...they don't find it...

1990's: VOODOO LOUNGE
Overrated and overlong...now the process is reversed...the Stones put TOO MUCH material out...I've never heard so much filler on a Stones record...literally the last half is filler and derivative...(and they win a Grammy for Best Rock Album)

2000's: No (studio) entry...A Bigger Bang is an excellent effort...

The 70's is the toughtest one to pick here I think.
The 90's - there were only 2 albums all decade!
The 00's - ABB would make both lists, for studio only, as I'd bet cash that it will be the only one this decade - likely their last ever.

Actually, the Archies had some solid hits. Jughead was a pretty good drummer - considering his kit consisted of only a huge bass drum, a floor tom, a snare and one cymbal. Unfortunately, I heard that he got caught up in the "60's drug culture" and disappeared. The group was never the same.

Thru and Thru is amazing IMO.
