My favorite early rock n roll songs - from that shadowland between R&B & RnR.
I included no blues, country or gospel - only songs that are almost, but not quite rock n roll (since rock n roll didn't really exist yet), but are actually MORE rock n roll than anything that came after. I'd love to see some of your lists...

In all fairness, #'s 1,2 & 4 probably were classed as "Rock n Roll" upon release.
