I'm going to Wembley. The album blew me away - always been a fan of Krauss, not so much of Led Z but these two really go together.

I liked the album first time around. Played it again and thought it was over-produced and full of it's own self-importance.

Love Alison, love Robert - but found this VERY dull.

I'll duck now before people start throwing things.

......I still like the album. I hear some of the songs on a cool radio station I listen to.......I don't think albums are capable of feelings, much less those of self importance.

an old woman and a young girl......horrible! RPs look has really turned into (g)old Diva. I don't know why but I never had the same impression with Mick and Keith.

Really? Have you listened to Emerson, Lake, and Palmer lately?

Do you mean their "newest" stuff?

I still love all those piano improvs.

I mean Prog Rock in general. I LOVE Prog Rock, but that was always the big criticism people had about it, that it sounded too self-important.

Yeah, this was dull imo, but I always love when artists do a different spin on their music.

And, I finally figured out some of the lyrics after all these years.

....we have very different opinions as to who has aged better, Robert Plant or Keith Richards.......Hey jamesjagger I hope it's not too late for you to stop payment on that check you wrote recently for those new eye glasses.

Watched a couple of songs from this on TV the other night and changed the station. Plant over sang AK, boring material for me.

Plant did tell a cute story. Seems AK sent him a list of the parts he was to sing. He made an unacompanied CD of just him singing his parts. He then met up with someone he had promiced a copy of his new CD to. He gave him the practice tape by mistake. The guy called him up and suggested that he should consult his record company because he thought it was too out there for public consumption.

I see Robert Plant quite regularly , he sits near me at our local football club who he is passionate about.

In fact I passed him at the last home game on the way out, I said 'hey robert'as I passed him , he said 'owdoo'. Cool

Well first of all let me say the proverbial,"no offense to anyone". Bingo,Lukester, you guys are 2 of my favorites on here. BUT after watching that video I really wanna hurl. First of all if your gonna do bluegrass. Do it.Don't turn one of your classic songs into some freaky hybrid.thumbs down That was a trainwreck to watch and listen to. Reminds me way too much of Bruce Springsteen and the Seger Sessions crap he did. Plus, you can hardly hear Allison Krauss' voice. It sounds like Robert Plant singing with a backup singer. It's like that on all the songs I've heard off the album so far. But,hey if you guys dig it. Good for you. Not my cuppa.

Re: Robert Plant/Alison Krauss

Yeah I was disappointed that we couldn't hear more of Allison's voice on that song.....still the chemistry between those two was cute.

Well she is hot Lukester. I'll give her that....Actually,if anything they should have tried doing Nobody's Fault But Mine. Seriously, have you ever heard the version from "No Quarter". The album they did with a bunch of Egyptian musicians. That version was really unique.

love the album, dont give a flying feck about all this "purist" nonsense, in fact is the irony of such a comment on a stones board not obvious. the stones were masters of taking all their influences and some might say that at their best they were producing a "freaky hybrid".

Wasn't sure how it would transfer to the live stage, but after seeing the 40min CMT special, have no fears if you are seeing them live. awesome band lead by T-Bone and some interesting choice of material Plant sang a union station song whilst krauss did Levee, both doing black dog together. I'm off to wembley as well and looking forward to it.

now i must go and listen to some pure unadulterated blues from those mississippi folk Led Zeppelin !!!!!

Ticketmaster now has listings for the full U.S. tour. It's a peculiar itinerary. No Chicago. No Cleveland. In fact, Detroit is the only stop in the entire upper midwest.

Lukester, you gonna try to go to any of these shows? Are they going to be at Bonnaroo?

Why don't you put on a festival called "Lukearoo" or "Lukapalooza" or maybe, "Lukestock"?
