HOORAY! Brilliant album! I've got it on bootleg, as well as a whole bunch of outtakes and sessions for the never completed successor, Bamboo. Fans of the first solo Brian Wilson album will hear where the inspiration for Rio Grande came about.

"Pacific Ocean Blue" is good stuff - at least the 5 or 6 songs I've heard. If you love the Beach Boys, you'll love it. If not, it's some of the best smooth California sounding lite rock.

Lovely album. It includes the magnificent 'Farewell my Friend' which was played when he was being buried at sea a few years later

The best solo Beach Boys album prior to the ones Brian subsequently put out. Quite surprising as I would guess most people wouldnt have thought he had it in him.

I'll get it. I never ever heard it, but I hadn't heard anything but good about it. It hasn't been out since 1990 I think.

Dennis also claimed to be the writer of "You Are So Beautiful" which is credited to Billy Preston. He sang it during the BB shows circa 1981.
