Does anybody know the numbers off the top of your head?

I think Zep may be slightly higher in number.

there are Lou Reed shows when it's every other word out of his mouth. James Brown must be reckoned with as well... they're all probably getting it from him.

But The Stones must have done a zillion more songs than Zep by now.

The horrible "Babe I'm gonna leave you" has more babybabybabybabybaby's than I'm ever gonna stand, so I guess I'm gladly passing this "honour" to the Zepsters.

It's gotta to be Zep. Jagger is by far the better lyricist or at least was.

Have to defend Zepp'lin. One of their greatest.

But Lizzy's Baby Drives Me Crazy has many b-b-b--baby as well.

'xcept for Roberts unbearable wailing and the overbombastic hardrocking parts it has some good accoustic guitarplaying during the verses. Yeah, I see what you mean.

A dynamic song. But I liked it 500% more when I was, like, 21.

This reminds of good old Bob.

At a 1965 press conference, someone asked Dylan how many other protest singers existed. Dylan pondered it, then replied, “About 136.” No one laughed.

“You say about 136—-or exactly 136?” the actual reporter followed up.

“Either 136 -- or 142,” Dylan said, settling it.

Ha that's hillarious footage, good thing they released it on "Dylan Speaks"; a very overlooked release, think it was in the US only (...thanks Cindy!)

Aimee Mann is the all time 'baby' user.

Very amusing re Dylan. If only I had such a mind.

I prefer the Stones' "baby" or anything else compared to the Zepp and dream of the day when I will have the time to be as mindless or bored as to count how many either band used the world

At the risk of inciting riot, may I say from personal experience that Lou Reed is a creep.

I saw in a recent Mojo or Q or something an actual 'baby' count and several other silly things, it was quite hilarious.

So you liked Babe I'm Gonna Leave you when you were like 21 or when you actually were 21? Because like 21 isn't exactly 21, it could be 18, 19, 20 or 22 or 23 or 24...

142.

along with "Do it Children!"

Baby, I'm Gonna leave you is a great song, but listening to a live version, it's no wonder they stopped playing the song live after 1969, until they revived it on the 2nd Page/Plant tour.

I think you're getting the word confused with 'motherf***er' if 'Live Take No Prisoners' is anything to go by....!

Ian Astbury is close - maybe not in totality but just in overuse - to the amount of baby's and children's he uses. Ha ha. Not to mention honey's and child's as well.
