38 years ago today (and yesterday) since the worlds greatest live album was recorded. I think I'll celebrate by giving it a spin tonight. Guess you know which album I'm talking about...

Yes, recorded. That's what I said. Most of the album is recorded Nov. 27. and 28. Midnight Rambler and Sympathy For The Devil, which in my opinion are the best tracks on the album, are recorded Nov. 28. By the way, this is the best version of Midnight Rambler. Ever.

maybe the best live version of any Stones song ever released, but 'best ever' honour for me is the version from Brussels Affair.

Possibly the best live version of ANY song EVER!

No stones-records whatsoever at the tube-rehab I dwell at, I'm afraid.

Yes, I've noticed that many of you prefer the version from Brussels. I got a copy of this a few months ago (Thanks to Erik_Snow), but i still can't understand why you think that this version is better. I have listended to it a few times now - It's different and it's faster, but I still think the version on Ya-Ya's by far is the best one. Especially, Bill Wyman's bassplaying on this one is great.
