Far East Man a few questions

I was just listening to Far East Man on Ronnie's I've got my own album to do. That is George Harrison singing? The only difference between Ronnie's and George's version is the opening and the horns? Why did the Keith songs get credited to Mick and Keith? The liner notes are pretty slim. I forgot how much I liked this record.
