Jimmy Pages comment today

I read in the newspaper that Jimmy Page was interviewed in Winnipeg? What the heck is he doing there? Anyways he did comment about the Zep reunion in November saying they could write more songs depending on how the show goes.

The show will be 90 minutes long with the following setlist:
Whole Lotta Love
Dazed and Confused
Moby Dick
Stairway (encore)

When Jimmy Page says "write" more songs, does that mean he is going to purge more blues music (among other genres) and claim it as his own?

Well, he didnĀ“t steal them all, did he? He had a few originals too...

That's an interesting comment for him to make (regarding writing more songs). It sounds like he's motivated by the success of the show, be it financial or critical, and not artistic creation. Granted, he wouldn't be the only one, but for him to say so is interesting.

I think this time around he ought to make Satisfaction louder and harder rocking with a 20 minute guitar/drum solo and plant wailing away "iiiiiiiiiiiii cannnnntttttt get no sattisffaaaaaaactionnnn"(spoken part): and i think you can see that, for another 10 minutes or so and then it can be credited as "Page/Plant".

Last November he was talking about how he had a solo album written and was getting ready to record it this year.

So, have Plant work on the lyrics and contribute a couple of his vault items and they are good to go.

I'm tired, I'm tired of doing what I'm told.
Things are moving way too slow.

Good point! If they don't he could probably borrow Elvis's...

...or he could wear his flower jumper too...pending tailoring needs of course...

Jimmy Page must be a small dude, because that Les Paul looks massive compared to him

Legend has it that Page is 6' 8"...he towers over all the rest.
Seriously though, I think the fact that he has it hanging so low is what makes the guitar appear bigger.

You want to see small? Ever been up close to Keith, Ronnie, or Mick?
They almost look like dwarfs in real life. I'm 6'2", they must be around 5" 6' at the most.

I read page is 5'10" and Plant 6'3". I think Page's height might be over-stated a bit.

Yeah the Stones are wee lads...except Darryl...but some say he's not a Stone while others do, but that's an entirely different thread...

Don't the Stones each weigh appx between 56 & 63 kg?
Must be all that runnin' around stage and healthy lifestyles...

Many rock stars are smaller in physical stature as compared to their larger than life images.

Ted Nugent and Meatloaf...now those guys are big dudes.

Daryly is also short, yet big structured, which may give him the appearance of being bigger onstage
In reality, he's only 5'3".

No kiddin' Hairball...he must be big boneded...

I think Mick and Keith are both around 5'10".

Mick and Keith might be 5'10 standing on top of each other. I have been in the room with them and they are small, as are the Beatles, most actors, and I bet Page and Plant

Sylvester "Rocky" Stallone is only 5'6". When I met him, I couldn't believe it.
He was always larger than life on the big screen, but to meet him in person,
it was indeed bizarre.
