'sugar'

Perhaps I have not been listening properly to live boots lately,
but while listening to the 3 London shows I noticed that the outro to BROWN Sugar ,the back up singers sing 'sugar' for about 3 minutes to the end of the song .
Have they been doing this for a while, if so when did they start

I dunno, but I usually hate it when artists drag out a song like that. It ruins it for me.

Yes it was a long Brown SUgar for ABB tour.
THe choir goes "sugar" instead of "Brown Sugar"?

They need to give Keith a bit of time to "run" out to the wing to do a few chest pounds.

Drop the song for a while or for good I say.

Bring in Silvertrain instead.

some times I cant get into the long versions of warhorses but Other times when Im in the right mood its like "Oohhh, I get it now". and that ususally happens when im listening or watching to an entire show from start to finish.

yeah, for just the audio I go for the older versions but on DVD I can watch/listen later versions of BS and enjoy it. I thought the FF versions for example were good. all three. ABB was not the best.

I like the long versions of warhorses! Stunning. Good example: Licks SFM b-stage. JJF '81. Arghhh.

The long versions get overly repetitive and it seems like they are simply killing time to get the show over with.

How can doing a song longer be considered getting the show over with faster? If they wanted to get off stage quicker, do a 2 minute Brown Sugar.

oh yes, definetley its the band! its a connections between the stones and the audeince. to me stones shows are done in different acts and the warhorse section is the final act, Part of what distinguishes it is the exteneded versions of songs like JJF BS, Satisfaction, ect... and to me what that part of the show is about is just simply Rocking Out! Nothing more, nothing less.
