It's a lot better than NeoCon indeed. Though I think it's more schizophrenic than political. Worked excellent in 75 - and it's a shame they edited the Toronto version like they did, for Love You Live
The studio version is really different sounding than the rest of the IORR tracks

Great version on Love You Live. I love that funky bass line.

this is a very creative process. Percussions parts, licks, changes in the rythm, voice work with spoken words and singing parts.
And this is on IORR album that many people pretend not to be a good one ! bulls--t

There are one or two Stones songs - this is one of them - that I start to listen to and think "This isn't that special" or "I don't much like this". But if I stay listening, by the time I'm halfway through I suddenly realise that in fact I'm enjoying them very much. Whether it's me or the band that takes time to get into the track I'm not sure - probably me. But this really builds and builds...

I always liked this tune. One of the most different tunes they ever recorded.

The live version from LA Forum, July 13th, 1975 is brilliant!

I didn't particularly like Jagger's vocals on that tour but they worked very well for a few numbers, and this was certainly one of them.

...have always loved FF for it's funk and lyrical content..........Jagger does a lot with very little.......disappointed they didn't dust it off for ABB tour considering it's present day relevance.

A mostly forgettable album that doesn't quite hit it from the opening track on. Taylor has some spots, e.g., DLS and IFRWTBMF. The music of TWFNO hits you like a left hook out of no where. But Fingerprint File is one song that sounds like the band felt like it was on to something. The song is played with conviction. The song's more relevant now than in the Nixon/Hoover era. Compared to what is going on now, those days seem quaint.

IORR will always be a special album to me as this was the first album that I was waiting for - I was 11 or 12 a the time ;-)

And I really, really, really love the studio version of FF ;-)
