What is your favorite music film?

Right off the top of my head, "Hail,Hail" might be my favorite.

So what's your favorite? Doesn't have to be Stones related, or even a rock-n-roll film.

Doesn't have to be only one.

I just realised recently how few music or concert films I've actually seen. I'm trying to come with some ideas for what to get or rent.

Yeah, GIMME SHELTER - there's just SOMETHING about it....

NON STONES I'd say:

STOP MAKING SENSE - Talking Heads

THE LAST WALTZ

CONCERT FOR GEORGE - I really like this one with Clapton, Petty, Macca doing WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS on Piano, oh, and also Macca does ALL THINGS MUST PASS... Really good Harrison song selection on here.... THE INNER LIGHT with full INDIAN Orchestra and Jeff Lynne....

Gotta be Gimme Shelter

Dont look Back
No Direction Home
The last Waltz
Gimme Shelter
Sign O The Times

Not sure if I can count Elvis' 1968 NBC TV Special as Doughboy did...I always just consider the DVD to be just an expanded version of a TV special, as opposed to a 'film' as such.

I don't think these are music films. They might have had a good score for them, but not really music flicks.

I saw that one a couple of times at our local IMAX theatre.

Isn't Scorsese's film going to be IMAX?
