Given that they may well be fresh off the back of some gigs in the far east and the States...will they be able to resist playing Wembley Stadium next summer ?

Or am I completely off target with thoughts like these ? ;^)

Oh no, I hope you're wrong Adrian! No chance at all of getting tickets apart from taking the big gamble to try to buy a pig in a poke. And then 3 days of chemical loos and other such squalor and horrors. I've heard you can't even get ice in your Pimms at Glasto... sad smiley

..This is sadly true.
and to make matters worse, the philistines serve it, in paper cups.

Quite agree, no ice in the Pimms is bad enough, but ... (shriek horror) paper cups !! It's unthinkable !!

Paper cups and no ice are all part of a dastardly plot to bring the grunge back to Glastonbury:

"Music-loving teens can be forgiven for thinking they're being swindled out of their rightful inheritance of fun. Michael Eavis, the legendary organizer of the UK's Glastonbury Festival was heard griping after last month's mudfest that the grungy edge of the event has become dulled in recent years by the influx of "middle-aged" and "respectable" festival-goers. It's a common complaint this summer, with England's festival fields thick with well-heeled campers — the ones with fast broadband and an unblocked credit card to slap on a party-booking for family and friends the moment tickets go on sale. Good news for the corporate sponsors and, to be fair, the ancient bones of Iggy & The Stooges may have given Glastonbury's younger bands an object lesson in bad-assmanship"

F*** stadiums. Keep the shows indoors. The smaller the better.

they will 'apparently' play a few Euro shows next year after SAL comes out, but theres no sense putting a stadium stage together for a couple of shows considering the US dates will be arenas. Simply not worth it financially. My money is on a limited run of arena shows.

there also isnt the market to play stadiums in europe three years in a row.

There you go, KNEW we'd find a solution. Thank you Gazza. Well that's it then, settled. No more festivals (crap weather, crap bogs, waist deep mud, f***ing tents up the ying yang, and more seriously ... lukewarm Pimms served in paper cups), and no more stadiums either. Indoor shows only.

Sorted !!

Glad we got that settled.
Some UK & European Arenas would be nice. Might be just the right level of demand too. Everybody happy ;^)

Prince - style residency at the o2 would be the perfect solution with a couple of festival appearances thrown in for "cheap seats".

set list ?....................don't ask !!!!!

No you bloody can't ! The equivalent would be .... asking for a for a fresh fish sarni at Ayers Rock or in Alice Springs City Limits; it just can't be done. There's wildernesses and then then there's wildernesses, and then there's another dimension altogether: about 50 trillion miles west of "dingly f***ing dell" ... you stumble up on Glasto. OF COURSE you can't find a prawn sarni there !!

Gotta get the glasses prescription rechecked. Instead of ..."about 50 trillion miles west of "dingly f***ing dell" .... I read it as "Deli!" Prawn sandwiches at the deli....I thought, "Small world!"

Which reminds me ... has anyone else noticed that if you're talking to someone whilst wearing sunglasses and you're thinking that you can't hear them very well, if you remove your shades your hearing appears to improve ?

Sounds bizarre I know, but it's true. Those of you that live in sunny climes might wish to put this to the test ?

They were offered Glasto for £250,000. They wanted a million.
