I prefer the thicker neck of the '57, and the '57 has more 'snap', but a rosewood board plays smoother in my opinion than a maple board. So, I prefer a '62 with a big neck!

I used to have a '57 and I liked the maple neck alot as it felt good in my hand but I have found the curvature of the fretboard takes getting used to. Have you tried playing them back to back to see which suits you best?
