OT Brian Wilson's New Song...

...from the forthcoming CD "That Lucky Old Sun". Listen to it here: [www.brianwilson.com]

The guy may not have that angelic voice of 1967 anymore, but he can still create some excellent music. I happen to like this one -- it wouldn't have been out of place on "Pet Sounds".

Yep, it's a great song. I am seeing hime twice in a couple of weeks, and somehow I managaged to get front row seats for both nights. He will be performing this song as part of a new work he has written.

Brian Wilson / The Beach Boys are one of only two or three acts whose music can bring me to tears.

I love this guy's music. His story is as interesting as KR's.

"Surf's Up" is one of the greatest songs ever written, as is "God Only Knows", as is "In My Room", as is "Good Vibrations", etc etc

his voice sounds very unsure almost unprofessional in the lower registers. sounds almost like a demo recording. when he goes to the upper register he sounds more confident. otherwise the song is magical. and i agree. it could have been on pet sounds. hope they re-record his lower register vocals.

I couldn't agree more, it seems like his new wife and family have really grounded him and given him a renewed confidence.

I'll certainly be there at the RFH on the Saturday night in the 2nd row with a delirious grin on my face-he has a wonderful band with him who I've seen about 11 or 12 times since 2002...always a joy!

Si.
