Good News, Looks Like London Shows Were Pro Video Shot

If you check out "Seeger Tour" and his EXCELLENT "London Photo's" thread somewhere around here or maybe this will work [www.flickr.com] you'll see cameramen with their pro vid camera's in some of the great shot's Seeger took (351 shots of the 3 London shows). Hopefully we'll see some kind of official release of the 3 night stand in London. Another DVD release won't hurt anyone. Great work Seeger, from one photog to another......

There was indeed a professional vid camera but one as opposed to the team at multiple angles that you would expect to put a DVD together. My guess is a few snippets turn up in Virtual Ticket but that's it.

i don't think we will get ALL three nights out anyway as the set list was basically the same from I go Crazy onwards each night.

Maybe one of them shows will end up on DVD but as as already have Biggest Bang out there I can't see that either.

Yeah sherer (and rebel), probably right but it would be nice to put all the different songs together from the first half of the 3 shows and then the best warhorse version (from the 3 nights) as part 2. Since SHINE A LIGHT is now a 2008 release a London DVD would be good for the Christmas Sales market IMHO - Then again, maybe at least a good boot will come out of it.....

Might stick a video compendium on the London shows as an extra on SOL. Maybe.

There was THIS thing right in front of me at the rail ... I've deliberately not shrunk the image down so that you can see the detail on the camera. Is that a pro vid job ?

very possible paulywaul, my friend was 1st row in philly in 05 & took many pics with the camera guy in the way & the camera looked much smaller than that , keep your fingers crossed

here's the camera that was used for the Jumbotron screen in philly 05 , much smaller camera imo , photos taken by my stonesfriend Joe
notice he's focused on Woody & Woody's on da screen

what would be the utimate would be a DVD with no edits or overdubs but i don't think the stones will ever do that

being at 2 london shows i'd love a box set of the performance and hope we will get it but with shine a light in the mix already it's unlikely.

At least it will be in the vaults now so maybe it will come out at some point

They have cameras at EVERY show...to film for the jumbo tron, hence videos exist for almost every show. Just because cameras are there, doesnt mean it'll be released.

stone-relics,

you are right.. BUT

you can tell that they are filming it for a purpose when you see cameraman at the b stage.. wich was the case in Werchter and Slane

If you'd take a look at the side of the main stage you would notice that b-stage is still on the video screens for the restricted view.
