Predictions for the LONDON SHOWS & THE FUTURE...

Re: Final Tour/Final Shows

If this is the "last time" for the Stones...and the
final three shows are back home in London...and they "wanna go home"
with a "bigger bang"...I predict an extra-long set w/two encores (24-26 songs)!
The final bows will be very emotional and Mick won't promise anything (future shows).

If Wyman and/or Taylor show up at the 3rd show (to take a bow)...it's over.

If they perform 19-21 songs and act like these shows are no different
than the previous ones....maybe we can expect one more "no security-type" tour
in a year or so...

If Mick thanks IORR'ers for setlist suggestions...I'll fall off my chair. winking smiley

Any other predictions?

I think it will the last time. Don't expect 24-26 songs...never in a million years. Maybe the do 1 or 2 special songs on sunday, otherwise I don't think much will be different from the other shows.

Maybe they've havn't decided whether it's over or not...maybe they have. We've just to wait and see.

They should hang it up after this. I really hope they do. My wallet is still burning!

I really hope it isn't over quite yet, but
I wouldn't hold any hard feelings if they said
goodbye with these three shows in London.
They have spent a lot of time, energy and life
on the road. Really, they deserve a long and happy
time on their own with families and friends. Just to relax
and have some other fun.

If there will be a fiftieth anniversary, it will probably
include a new album, dvd and a tv broadcast of a special show.

So in my humble opinion "we might say goodbye to greatest rock and roll band
on earth including formers band members like Brian, Bill, Mick T and Stu and Bobby Keyes. Whatever we think of them and regardless what some of them (Bill) think of the Stones today. After the shows in London. Full circle, it was there it all started. It might be there it all ends

Thank you Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie. Thank you Bill, Brian and Mick Taylor. Thank you Stu and all of you members of the Rolling Stones and Lisa, Bernard, Blondie, Chuck, the Horn section, the crew of security, roadies and all others.

It's been a long journey all worthwhile of doing thru the acid past up until now and hopefully some more years of records and dvd's will come.

Long may your music remain and the memory of all good things, sad, bad things
stay with us as long as we live.
Long may you be remebered as "THE GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD"

Future : bright and sunny for The Greatest R&R Band as long as Mick loves to be the best frontman with Keith and Charlie willing as they have always done to be on his side. They have been on tour for over 2 years. Let them have a rest and come back, in a different way maybe. Predictions have always turned out untrue with The Stones.

Well we'll have to see about that then, I don't believe it, only when it happens. No one has said that there will shows in 2008.

I predict an extra long version of MISS YOU and/or YCAGWYW....

....and I predict they play 1 (one) song that they have
never played live.........maybe Sweet Neo Con (??) It has
been rehearsed....and maybe they want to end things with a
political statement. Personally...I'd rather hear Driving Too Fast..

Even songs that have been played only few times/in the beginning this tour...Undercover, It Won´t Take Long, I´m Free... would be great. Infamy, Back Of My Hand....

i predict it will be a typical '07 show and that typically everyone will say that the band was on fire and it was the best stones show they ever saw...ronnie never better, keith fully recovered. don't ask me how i know this...it's a calling, a gift....

One guitar player will be on fire, the other will just smoke. They'll alternate these roles, and weave one of those smoke/fire continuum tapestries.

And no one has said that the London shows will be their last

My prediction:

Quick U.S. tour in November

Boston
New York
Chicago
LA

The $$ is just too much for these gazillionares to pass up...after 120+ shows, there attitude will be "what's another 10 shows".

Last huge tour Yes.... last shows.... NO!!!!!!!!
People expect that because they're old. But they thought the Stones were to old to play rock 'n roll when they were in their 30's. They were way too old when they were in their 40's. Playing rock 'n roll when you are over 50 was more ridiculous. No one did that before. Our heroes did it, And playing rock 'n roll when you are in your 60's. Out of their minds!!! but they did it, and they will do it when they pass the age of 65. Someday of course it will be over. But now now!!
