Get the 1969 line up together for one day, in LA, same studios where Gimme Shelter was recorded - get M. Clayton, Taylor, Wyman--everyone - cut the song - in the same spot where it was recorded - donate the proceeds

Nice idea but highly unlikely. And I have to say (sadly) if it did happen I'm not sure it would really sell that many copies to make it a worthwhile venture.

WHAT THE STONES COULD DO -
3 nights (1 week total) at the 02 Arena in London with Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman (let Ronnie work on his personal problems). Set list heavy on GOAT'S HEAD SOUP, EXILE, and STICKY FINGERS (+ BLUES STANDARDS).
Charge a sh*t load and send it ALL to Haiti. (David Bowie can come out of retirement for 1 week and open for the Stones). They could raise some SERIOUS CASH !!!

Even as a Mick Taylor fan, with all the nostalgia going on I can never understand why on earth there is always a discussion Taylor vs. Wood. As well as they can have effectively three guitarists on stage now they could have three original members of the band there in the most unlikely case that this ever could happen.

Watching the video of human suffering on such an enormous scale--an entire city devastated, dead bodies stacked on the sides of roads, people walking about in shock going for days without food or water, parents digging their children's bodies out of rubble, and now hundreds of people having injured, infected limbs amputated in makeshift hospitals without supplies in Civil War-type conditions...
...yeah, the first thing that comes to mind is, "maybe some good can come out of this. Like Taylor and Wyman could get back in the Stones."

Get together with some reggae friends (Caribbean, remember?) and cut a disc of 3-4 songs for the benefit of Haiti.

Brainiac, the ENTIRE GOAL HERE is getting as money as fast as possible for water, Meds, and food downto the effectd peeps. Get the concept? Hope so....
