does anybody know how each band member hears his playing. The uncountable monitors in front of the stage, are they all for Mick, or does he use always "in-ear-monitoring"? and there are another two speakers, which hang above the stage....

there are in ear monitors as well as stage monitors and hanging monitors. the grates in the stage are for fans/ac/heating depending on the weather...cheers

The Stones use both sidefills and monitors. Sidefills are speakers on the left and right of the stage aiming at the band, with its own mixer and PA amp. With the sidefills the entire band is amplified. With sidefills, you only have to further monitor specific solo instruments like voices. The Stones have an encredible amount of monitors, but most are not used all the time. The monitor mixer watches the band constantly, and when a member walks to a certain spot, his instrument is turned up a bit. All the monitors on the front are mainly for Jagger's voice. Jagger uses in-ear these days, but the rest of the band isn't.

yeah, that's for cheating fans - they get locked down in the gutter.
depending on the weather they choose carefully - she was hot, or she's so cold.
but it's no hanging matter
