the Mean Fiddler is 2 doors down from The Astoria.
Charing Cross Road.
nearest tube stn :- Tottenham Court Rd.

Good acoustics in venue.... shabby, dark, dingy... needs knocking down.
very similar to The Astoria, but smaller in size.

The Mean Fiddler venue is a few hundred metres from the Borderline, not more. Use the same tube station etc - Tottenham Court Road. I saw the Fabulous Thunderbirds there recently, it is standing downstairs and a small U shaped balcony with some seating and small tables upstairs. It's perfectly fine as a venue.

As Adrian-L says, it's 2 doors from the Astoria. There's location maps of all the "Mean Fiddler Group" venues, they own the Astoria, the Mean Fiddler itself, the Borderline, the Jazz Cafe, and the Forum. The first 3 are all virtually next to each other, only the Jazz Cafe and the Forum are geographically elsewhere, Camden and Kentish Town respectively. And no, it's a SEPARATE building to the Astoria, but it's a mere 2 doors away.

Laughs... thanks to the 3!!! Really it´s a helpful bunch! (laughs)... It´s nice knwo than there´s so close to the Bodderline!!!

Anobydy know if Norah Jones have gig this night?? I´ve listen she´s touring the UK on this dates....

shes playing Hammersmith Apollo on August 27th

and the reason for the change is that the Borderline tickets were selling so fast (with no official publicity yet) that it would clearly sell out!

The Mean Fiddler will take approx 500 people. I also heard that Darryl will also play...its beginning to feel like and end of tour party!
