Everybody is using drugs - the whole sports world today is so focused on money, money and money that everybody is doing whatsoever to become famous and earn lots of money.... inclusive in one way or another to use drugs.... some are better to hide it than other....

Probably in 10 years from now - the winner will stand out and say: I used doping and cry their tears out.... to get somehow an excuse from the public.....

The sports nowadays is ridiculous.....

i am not following a lot of sports anymore because of that. i am very disappointed, rasmussen for example refused to do the test months ago and disappeared. sport is a shit, politics is very bad, r'n'r' has become music for the elite....very sad years

The whole Tour De France is a complete farce. They should stop it now.
I don't watch it on TV anymore.

Well you're right about the sports. Mind you Michael Rasmussen is from my country and ought to be proud. Well I'm not, because I'm almost 100% certain that is doped as well.
Our only winner of the Tour undtil now Bjarne Riis, admitted a few months ago, that he was doped when he won the Tour in 1996.
Well that wasn't the biggest surprised, when asked about it over the years, he's comment has been "I have never tested positive".

Well you would think that if he was doped up he would done better. Or maybe that's why he started in the first place. How stupid and desperate can these guys be?

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

Now Rasmussen is out of the Tour de France...

Yeah and bad news for the Danish people. Our first winner Riis in 1996 was doped and now our second potential winner is out.
That's the way it goes...just hope the sport becomes clean one day

Agree. Good things is though that it's (some of) the riders that seems to have had enough, with their demonstration at the beginning of todays stage.

I have'nt heard yet. What happened to Rasmussen? Did he test positive or drop out on his own?

He was pulled out by his team for lying.

His team took him out of the race, because he had lied to Rabobank about his whereabouts in June. Rasmussen was supposed to be Mexico, but was seen by Davide Cassani(Expert Commentator on RAI) in the Dolomittes training on June 14th. That's pretty much the story as I got it.

Yes and he claimed that the reason why he wasn't able to take the doping tests in June was, that he were in Mexico and out of reach via cell-phone. It makes you wonder, dosn't it?

Yeah I had heard all that...........But wow. That's a shock. This is the first time I've ever really started watching a lot of the Tour on tv. What a drag all these guys are under suspicion.

Yeah and it's a double drag for us danes. One danish winner from 1996, who has admitted he was doped. And now Rasmussen and all his lies. They are the only ones we've had, that could win the Tour :-(

I know how you feel svendborg. I live on the west coast of the U.S. where Barry Bonds is about to break one of the biggest records in sports. The all-time baseball leading Home Run hitter. But he is also under a big cloud of suspicion for taking steroids. So it is hard for me to get excited about him breaking the record.

Drugs have ruined the credibility of the cycling/Tour de France.
