I was in Berlin 2006 to visit R.S in the Olympic Stadion.
The Stones stayed in The Ritz Carlton Hotel for 4days.
So my City trip to Berlin was a 3-day waiting trip in front of the hotel,..of course.
Made fotos from Ronny, Charly and also Fotos from Darryl with my wife.
One day before the Stones played in the Stadion, Darryl Jones, Tim Rees Bernard Fowler and other musicians (called Tim Rees R.S Project) had a gig in the most famous Jazz-Club in Berlin, called Qasimodo.

Thanks Heinz, I was at the Quasimodo club too. It was a great show. Still looking for a recording from that show. But nobody seems to have taped it.

It was not Darryl's club gig but Tim Ries and his Rolling Stones Jazz Project. He plays that in as many cities he can and he used to use different musicians in every city if he manages to do so. Darryl helped out on bass in Berlin.

What do you think is it called, wenn Darryl also plays in the Club??

I might be able to get a not so good quality recording of that show. My sister recorded it but said that the more uptempo songs wasn't any good but the slower ones where okay. I'll check it out when she gets back late next week.
It was a fantastc show, she's a huge jazz fan an said that she don't think she'll ever experience a show like that again!

Yes, that was a great night at the Quasimodo. And those of you who don't have the Tim Ries Rolling Stones Project CD yet - go out and buy it!

sorry, I got something completely wrong yesterday.
I was very busy at work and didn't have much time
to read, understand and response in the right sense.
I just wanted to point out that for me it doesn't
matter if there is a Tim or a Darryl in the headline,
because I really enjoyed the photos you made.
I didn't realize, that the coffe-remark came from you,
so my post went into a totally wrong direction.
To make the desaster complete I didn't get the irony
of your reaction (seems I was really low yesterday)
and thought at first, that you had realized my attitude.
I don't understand those heavy reactions on the Tim / Darryl
headline.
I think the communication here should stay friendly - most of
us are Stones fans - or not?
Hamburg is selling well?
Good for the Stones, bad luck for me and my daughter.
At least I can try to get a cheap ticket from a scalper
when the concert begins.

I told you yesterday, preselling in Hamburg is very good. This is my information.
But in another thread, i had read, that the preselling is bad.
May be, you have luck to catch a cheap ticket.

Back to my days last year in Berlin:
It was very nice to be there so narrow to the guys in the club, you can imagine.
Spoke with DarrylJones and Tim Rees after the gig. Made fotos. Lovely persons they are.
At the Hotel i made also fotos from Ron Wood, Charly Watts, Lisa Fisher, Chuck Leavell with my wife, and Tim Rees with my wife. Happy women, i know..
I also have agreed a plektrum from Ron Wood.
Never saw Keith and Mick. Only in the station.

Have been very freaky days with extremly high temperatures.
