Listen to this song: Taylor is on FIRE!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This may be one of the all time best Stones shoes! It's available on the C2C boot entitled, "She Like The Way I Held The Microphone", in VG+ audience quality.

Hello!

Isn't "She Liked the Way I Held the Microphone" inferior to the VGP

release "Sweet Home Chicago"???

I thought I had both but can't find "SLtWIHtM" at this moment!

The photo of Jagger on the cover is from Vancouver '72. An original print was given to me decades ago by the photographer. I gave a copy to Edwin somethingorother (I can't remember his name). He was fishing for photos for what he said was going to be an article on the '72 tour. In any event it ended up on the cover of this boot and apparently provided the inspiration for its name. The strange twist is that I remembered the photographer's name, gave it to Edwin (??) and after so many years he actually got in contact with him. The photographer was none too pleased that I let it out and that it was being used.

Anyway, that is Jagger holding the microphone on opening night of the '72 tour.

One other note: Other photos from that show document that Keith played stage LEFT that night and not his usual stage right.

I do not remember this Chicago recording being particularly good. I'll give it another listen and check out GS. Whatever the quality, if you can hear Taylor, it will have points of interest.

The version I have is "Sweet Home Chicago" and it's a good audience recording for the time. Probably among the top 10 or so that I have from that tour.

I was at 19 and 20/6/72, in Chicago.
I would love to get a copy of any recordings from those shows.
Any suggestions?

I got the Sweet Home Chicago release, and ripped it for Dime - if you got a Dime account
(if not, just send me an e-mail with your address)

Yes, that is a better recording than I remember and Taylor does have "live fingers" that show. It is a blistering GS, indeed.
