A "New" Never Heard Jim Morrison/Doors song is out officially as the final song on the new Perry Farrell's SATELLITE PARTY CD - "ULTRA PAYLOADED". It's called WOMAN IN THE WINDOW (with a chorus that repeats "Just Try And Stop Us/We're Going To Love"). This is not a spoken word song (with music added later) as was the "AN AMERICAN PRAYER" album - this has Morrison SINGING, not speaking..... and it's a hauntingly beautiful song (with strings and all) Hats off to Perry Farrell (ex -singer for JANES ADDICTION/PORNO FOR PYRO'S) for putting this whole thing together.

More Lyrics: Can you see me stand -ing/in my window/can you hear me?/laugh -ing ...... man you are evil/get out of my garden/riding the praire/just me and my angel/I am happy/far from my worry - just try and stop us/we're going to love..... WOW, Jimbo's back for one more, and it's a good one (someone get the man a cold beer, a microphone, and a stage !!)

BB, yo bro, I have it on the CD - I was actually Shocked when I heard Morrison's voice singing a song that sounds like it was recorded in 2007 (well some of it was - beautiful all the way)... Amazon.com or Tower.com might have a sample to listen to, give it a shot and get yourself a tasty coffee to start your new day....

Dont you think J.M was really great in 1971? La Woman is a great record and his writings are much better, down to earth. The first record is great and there are good songs on every album but his lyrics were really good on that last album. An American Prayer has moments too.

LA Woman is the best Doors album IMO

I have for long known about this song, but I have to this day never heard it. I just don`t understand why it hasn`t been released earlier, on a proper Doors whatever.

LA Woman, I think, is a bit lessened by that tiresome "Been Down So Long". Change that song with something else, and you`d get a really strong, strong album. You could even just skip it, and the album would be much stronger.

By the way, there are not many similarites between The Doors and The Stones, or are there? What do you think?

There are clearly a few fillers on LA Woman, yes I agree - however I do love the most of the album. I don't care too much for the "When The Music's Over/The End"-atmosphere which Doors created in 67-68. I think Doors were best when they did bluesrock or countryrock - like a lot of the LA Woman material - also songs in the style of The Changeling suits Jim Morrison

I have to admit I like the Soft Parade (great production). Wishful Sinful is great. Indian Summer on Morrisson Hotel is another gem.

My Girl Friend is not a huge Morrison fan (her biggest defect) and actually likes the song a lot, says its a beautiful song - sounds like he's singing from the afterlife (which is what I think Farell was trying to do - slightly spooky but in a nice way). A little personal Doors story:

When I was seventeen or so I was a huge Doors fan and in 1981 when I moved out to San Diego I was driving up to Los Angeles to visit a friend and just as I entered the LA city limits the song "LA Woman" comes on the radio. Of course I was estatic yelling and singing thru the bumper to bumper traffic. I felt the need to head straight down to Sunset Strip and hang out. One of my huge Doors moments. I probably sounds like nothing to most people but for a teenage kid it meant the world to me.
