Just bought it, and I just love Sarah McLachlans Blue. Same goes for Elvis Costellos Edit And The Kingpin. Anyone else heard it?

I'm sure it is good, but Tom Rush got cut and that is a big loss to this project. Cheers and have a great weekend. 5

Well, that's too bad, didn't know. Get it anyway, there are some pearls on it!
Have a good one you too!
BTW. I've heard that Joni herself is working on a new project too, and also Herbie Hancock is supposed to release his own tribute sometimes during fall this year!

It will be good to hear the cd. Did you all know she is making a new cd now. I hope to see her sometime this summer or fall.

I love Joni and can't wait to hear this cd and I have yet to see her live! I do hope she tours! She is my favorite female vocalist of all time! I bought BLUE in 1971 and have been hooked ever since!

what a brilliant and underrated guitarist is joni...lots of very original technique and very original way with alternate and open tunings...
(and a very original fingerstylist)...and this on top of being a great visionary songwriter and beautiful painter and wonderful, wonderful singer...this gal is hugely a guitar monster imo, but it never, or hardly ever, gets mentioned...dunno why...but that's my take on her.

Well I don't know if she will tour or not. If so it will be very small. I've heard she had health problems and can' t take the strain of a big tour. We'll just have to wait and see but I doubt it. Or I could ask her when I see her.

I think she played dulcimer too. Listen to Carey from Blue

I don't know the name of this instrument, I'm afraid, but it's very interesting clips: (California)

I was amazed when I got the Shadows & Light DVD, and saw the things she played - often in open-E tuning, dead on that she's a terrific guitarist

Thanks Erik. Nice clips.

I found my Royal Albert Hall 1970 bootleg, and as a intro to 'Carey' she talks about this instrument called a 'Mountain Dulcimer'. Sounds to me as the same instrument she plays on 'Califonia'

Elvis Costello is very natural in Joni jazzy song.He sings it like his own one.
Never liked Prince very much, but he didn't spoil"A case of you".Pop version of Joni, why not.My favourites here are Emmylou's and Bjork's.
