we are working on getting him to do Coming Down Again. Hopefully a bit more gentle persuasion in terms of votes might get him to rediscover it.

I wouldn't choose Coming Down Again. It's a bit too boring for me. Gimme The Worst or This Place Is Empty.

...which have both been played endlessly so far.

CDA could work as a beautiful soul ballad played live.

Would you recommend an edit on the "request-thread" at RO, Gazza ?

.....Which doesn't make them bad songs, and which doesn't make Coming Down Again better.

I'm sure it would. I'm always careful to say that songs wouldn't work live, since I always get surprised on how good they pull them off. I just think that Coming Down Again isn't as good a song as, say, The Worst, and I'd rather have songs I like than songs I don't like as much. For me it's not about getting as many songs played live as possible.

Duly noted. ;-

I know he's performed it as his own since the solo days but "Connection" is not a Keith vox song on Buttons. He simply sings an accompanying harmony.Jagger sings the main melody.

"Something happened.." and MM is just him singing a repetative part in each song - again the main vocalist is Mick.

RRR was a solo gig not the Stones and outtakes don't count.

CDA could work well if he cut it to the length of "The worst" imo.

Have you ever lent somebody $20 and never seen them again? It was probably worth it.

He may be practicing but I'm skeptical as to whether he'll give us them live.
He really just seems to be the laziest musician on the planet of late. My guess is we'll get the same two songs for 90% of the shows this summer. Yawn!
Having said that, All About You would make my summer!

wouldn't mind it: with all the beer i'll likely have imbimbed at that point, I'll need a few minutes to head to the loo . . .

HOWEVER, i'm still hoping for wanna hold you and can't be seen - two great keef rockers!

Never mind him playing the stuff live over the next few months - though we can only hope - the main question here is: did they let the tapes roll all the time and will their soon be a bootleg from these rehearsels a'la Voodoo Lounge?? ;-)

.... 'coming down again' is a dam classic .... beautiful piece.

almost a synopsis of that period of time,, if ya weren't even in the stable

then, that has to be the front runner, by a light year, for him to perform.

there's a demo of Keith singing it, but of course if we start listing
everything there are demos of him singing, we will be here a long long time
