Good question, I for one had completely forgotten about this onstage seating business. I presume they're using the same stadium stage as 05/06 ?

As far as I recall, didnt the onstage tickets (not onstage 'seating', stop falling for the false marketing, folks!) not go on sale until relatively short notice last time?

Whereas they were $250 and $75 for the US shows and therefore not at the top end of the ticket pricing structure, for some reason in Europe they were sold at way over the price of the most expensive tickets (£300 or so) - and at short notice. A lot of them seemed to end up as radio station competition prizes etc as I recall.

no the onstage tix went on sale more than 3 months before the shows last year

In Europe? Really? Fair enough

Ah well..still it was some considerable time after the 'regular' tickets went on sale, which somewhat defeated the purpose of getting them. Bizarre marketing.

by the time the fall '06 US leg started, they were $500/ticket - doubled and just $50 more than most floor and lower section seats.

thats true, which was pretty indefensible as they were so much cheaper a few months earlier

I guess they'll give it to companies which work together with the tour-business. ANd they'll draw lots of them before the show...

Unless the ABB-stage has been demolished or reïntegrated in other stages for other artists the minute after the last US-show, I cannot imagine any reason for them not to use the ABB-stage. Mick loved it, the crowd loved it, and, if it still exists it is stored right there next to the Werchter-field, waiting to be built up for the first show there...

But the question is, can my mind imagine enough to understand the works and mechanisms of the tour organisation, and the particular reasons why, or why not to use the same stage...

probably they will give the seats away during the SMS-comptetition during the concerts as they did last year (as On Stage wasn't sold out in Germany for example)

btw: is the On Stage-seating stage also expected for the Millenium Dome concerts?
