Perhaps the wine itself was offensive. Was it a nice forty dollar bottle of Italian wine or was it one of those one gallon jugs that go for like two bucks? lol

dear mr. cirrhosis,

i think perhaps it was the box. back when i used to drink, i would at least bring a bottle of sutter home white zinfindel. i loved it and for some reason, there was always plenty of it left at the end of the party, so i could take it home with me. helping the hostess clean-up in such a way might be the most appreciated gesture.
