Through The Lonely Nights

Every once in a while I hear a gem in the right setting and realize that it is the most perfect rocksong ever written, That it sums up everything I love about the Stones. "Lonely Nights" happens to be the winner today. everything I love about that band in the 70's, in their best glam, recording in Jamaica, and Munich, hanging with Ronnie and Bowie, Lou and Ronson, phased guitars, acoustic guitars, Keith high BU vox, Nicky way up in the mix playing minor chords too, Charlie recorded so well. IMO those 16 track albums by Harwood and Andy Johns are the best recorded rums ever . Jagger starts adlibbing at the end. No excessive guest musicans. Lyrics just about stuff, rock'n roll stuff, that Keith and Mick can sing together on the mike.
There is EVERY ingredient that makes the Stones the ebst band ever to me.
"Everything is turning to gold", "Loving Cup","Soul Survivor", "Jivin Sister Fanny", "I'm Goin Down", "Silver Train", "Just my Imagination" are others.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

Elmo, I went Friday night to watch the Braves take their only loss so far. Correction, that was no loss, that was a spanking! smiling smiley Great day, sun out, but it's gotten freakin cold again.
I feel like a sissy complaining about our wimpy little cold weather down here compared to the brothers in Scandinavia e.g

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

To each his own. I've always thought that GHS and IORR were among the worst-sounding Stones albums. They lack the sonic kick that every Stones record up through Exile had--as if someone had put blankets over the microphones.
