Mathijs, is it so that Travis Bean guitars are primarily made for slide guitar??? Slash played slide on a Travis Bean guitar on the Gn'R song Bad Obsession. I've also seen others play slide guitar on it.

No, they are made just as regular guitars, and in the 70's they were used as such. TB's were never really popular, mainly due to the cold feel of the aluminium neck, but they got a great sustain. Due to the sustain some people like to use it for slide (like Slash and Joe Perry).
