News of german boards (only for german speaking fans)
in english (short version)
on August 25 a special concert for the members of the house of lords is planned. A thank you from Mick for his "SIR" title. It will happen in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Keith's comment, not so happy about the "Sir" thing, was positive: I started to sing (choir) for the Queen, and it will be ending in front of the the queen.
Gemäss allen "Gerüchte" Quellen ist ein
WEITERES KONZERT in London angesagt.
Da der Hyde Park nicht zur Verfügung steht (Rasenprobleme), hat offenbar die Queen einem Konzert in den grossen Gartenanlagen hinter dem Palast zugesagt.
Aber es ist ein Riesenscheiss!!!¨
Je länger je mehr werden die Stones zu einer VIP Sache.
In dem Fall ist es noch schlimmer. Das Konzert ist eine geschlossene Gesellschaft. Der Grund ist der "SIR" Titel von Mick. Da er jetzt zum OBERHAUS (House of Lords) im englischen Parlament gehört, wird der Zutritt nur diesen Lords mit Familie gewährt. Ja das ist halt typisch. ABER es gibt eine Ausnahmeregelung und die erstaunt doch sehr. Die Bürger der deutschen Stadt Oberhausen sind ebenfalls eingeladen. Wohl um das Publikum etwas zu durchmischen. Ob wir Leute hier im Treff haben, die in Oberhausen wohnen und dort offiziell gemeldet sind? Es dürfen gemäss dem Sprecher des Buckingham-Palast bis zu 8 Gäste pro angemeldetem Gast mitgenommen werden. Die weiteren Bedingungen, "dress code" und so, folgen scheinbar in den nächsen Tagen.
Man wundert sich z.B. auch weil Keith bekanntlich nicht so erbaut über den Ritterschlag für Mick war. Aber er soll - laut yahoo - dazu wie folgt kommentiert haben: Meine Karriere fing als Chorknabe bei der Queen an, jetzt hört sie bei der Queen auf. Der Kreis schließt sich.
Wird wohl das letzte Konzert sein. Aber leider - wie wir langsam gewohnt sind - nicht für uns Fans zugänglich.
Das Datum wussten wir ja schon lange, 25.08. dachten Wembley... neee ist der Garten des Buckingham Palastes. Die Stones suchen gemäss IORR halt nach exotischen interessanteren Plätzen. Das haben sie mal wieder geschaft. Presale oder legay presale über RS.com sind leider nicht möglich

Sounds like the German tabloids are working overtime.
The Queen is at Balmoral in August. Can you imagine her loaning the royal gardens to the House of Lords?
More importantly, can you imagine Mick Jagger giving a belated "Thank you" party for his title, courtesy of Tony Blair, who submits the list for Royal honors?
Can you imagine Keith talking only to the German tabloids about this?
Does the story mention the Temptations are coming down from heaven and re-forming to sing "Ain't Too Proud to Beg?
And what about poor Prince Charles? Is he being left out? He's the man who officially knighted Mick.

I agree Stonesrule, it doesn't seem very likely,
