Whatever happened to Don Felder? He was one of the guitarists trading riffs
with Joe Walsh on the song; I think he was fired for asking for equal split

There is certainly more than a striking similarity between Mick Taylor's live solos on Angie (see Brussels Affair) and Hotel California. There is a slight similarity betwee the two songs apart from that but they are sufficiently different enough to say that HC was maybe "inspired" by Angie, not a copy.
