Anaheim is good. The west coast shows were later in the tour and the band sounded more relaxed and paced themselves better. the earlier shows-Passaic NY- are more adrenline speed freak jive if you get my drift. Each complements the other.

yeah--a very hot day . Found my later wife there--married in 1982 on 19th of march.
So--in some days were 25 years together and live in germany.
You know, cause i ask, if there is a recording of the 78TH Anaheim concert

The new Lakeland show is excellent quality and has some stuff they only performed once.

Yes, the new Lakeland source is great,
still, I think the best audience bootleg from 78 is Tight Dresses And Tampax from Chicago....nobody has mentioned that one yet.

They played Street Fighting Man, it's not a one-timer but it's pretty rare.

right - they played that in Philly, I know as well....thanks, Erik - i was pretty sure that aside from the one-off Hound Dog, there weren't any "special" setlists in '78.....

they didn't play street fighting man in philadelphia but they played satisfaction mid set and they only played 7 songs off some girls instead of the usual 8

Yes that's quite unique about Some Girls Tour that they kept on playing those 8 songs. At later tours, 89, 94, 97, 05 they played several new songs at the opening night or the first couple of concerts, but skipped half of them later on..some guts they had in 78

That may be the only chance I'll ever have, so I just decided to "go for it"

What is the name / label of this new Lakeland source? My copy of the audience recording sounds terrible.

They really believed in those 8 songs..they kept on playing them so they could grow to the status they have now..cheers Erik!!

It's not released on bootleg (yet), it's used to be available on certain torrent-trackers, I don't know if it still is, though.
It's a notch below Chicago..quality-wise, but still great.

No, I don't have that boot, but I'm familiar with it,
it contains the 78 broadcasts which is more complete on Handsome Girls.
Excellent stuff.
Can't Stop Rollin' looks like an Outsider Bird CD, but it's a not, it's a European bootleg pressing.

I'd recommend the Rockpassion DVD "US Tour 78" and the 4 CD set "Gorgeous Girls Redux". Hard to find better boots.

THanks Rooster, but please don't send send it, because I got every song there on other bootlegs.
But I appreciate your offer!

The Sister Morphine sound has a backside...it's a bit tiresome after a while.
