Caught them last night at the Casbah here in San Diego. Great forgotten punk band from the 70s...very Clash-esq. Catch em if they're coming to a town near you!

Wasn't Neneh Cherry in this band?

Was she there last night?

I love her music. I still play her album Homebrew every so often.

She's Swedish :-) (yes she is!)
Thanks sdstonesguy for the tip!

I don't think she's Swedish, but I think she's lived there for many years.

Do you know that album that I mentioned? It's very good.

This means that Eagle Eye Cherry is Swedish too. I had no idea. Neither of them looks very Swedish (Thinking Thomas Brolin here grinning smiley).

What would we do without Wikipedia... She was born Neneh Mariann Karlsson
March 10, 1964
[en.wikipedia.org]
She grew up here, till first schoolyears. Her mother took her to NYC in the 70s though.
On the link above we can read she is nowadays a grandmother!
Most of her family live here: Her father Ahmadu Jah
as well as her stepfather, Don Cherry, who moved here in the 60s.
"Race-wise" she might be half-African, but she's born & raised here.
And in the US.
Her siblings live here: Eagle-Eye Cherry (lately an actor) & Titiyo.

Nice work BB!

I thought it was the opposite, that she spent her first few years in NYC, went to Sweden. I think she did a bit in London too at some point.
Anyway, thanks for the info.
