Here are some suggested setlist changes to help conserve Mick's voice so they don't cancel more shows and keep on keepin' on!.
Remove the following songs which strain his voice: Start Me Up (Too much shouting) Oh No Not You Again (Same as above) Honky Tonk Women (High register & shouting) Brown Sugar (Yeah Yeah Woos can't be good for voice) Let's Spend The Night Together Satisfaction (Another shouting song) Jumping Jack Flash (Same) Miss You (Too many High Notes)
Replace them with: Time is on my side As Tears Go By Ruby Tuesday Let it Bleed Sweet Virginia Far Away Eyes Spider and the Fly Waiting on a Friend
I like the idea, but partly disagree with your diagnosis.
Agree about: Oh No Not You Again Satisfaction JJF (but God forbid they drop that one!) Brown sugar
But Start me up, HTW (as he sings the chorus lower) and Spend the night are surely no sweat at all, and Miss you is the most confortable song to sing ever, especially as you can sing it lower or higher without destroying it at all.
It's a common misconception that falsettos hurt the voice. They are difficult to nail (see Worried about you, often out of tune, or sounding wierd) but they are easy on the throat. Equally, the high register shouts (as in Rambler: everybody say WOO!) are easy money. Jagger could do them all night without a problem. See for instance James Brown; voice totally shot, but the high yells are the last thing he can do.
