Do tell? I don't know much about the Beach Boys except I like a few of their songs, and that they're still touring with only one original member, Mike Love. Never seen 'em. Why exactly does Mr. Love give off Bad Vibrations? I remember some dispute with guitarist Al Jardine (only original member besides the Wilson brothers). Does that have sumthin to do with it?

nah..hes just a talentless twat who at least is good comedy value. As a human being, I've nothing against him personally even though I find his music annoying in the extreme.

Cohl on the other hand has been the main catalyst in turning the Stones away from being primarily a rock n roll band who made a lot of money into a business machine which emphasises the pursuit of financial gain more than the music.

and its not just the Stones. People of his ilk - whilst undoubtedly good at their chosen profession - have been detrimental for concert goers in general and are the personification of why the music industry has gone to shit in recent years

I'm sure he can be an affable chap. I dont know the man personally, maybe you do, so your angle may be different, and thats fair enough.

However, I'm talking purely as a music fan - and I dont see the changes in the music biz in the last few years as having been done in the best interests of the public.

Although when i read the headline to this thread, I KNEW you were going to say Gene Simmons.
He is however very nice to his fans. Well he was to me anyways. He is known to hate bootlegs, but he actually signed one of mine.

You're right-I forgot about that. But, during his brief tenure as a school teacher, he had his named changed to Gene Klein to make it easier on the 3rd graders.
