maybe its one of those 'sweetie cigarettes' that kids used to chew back in that era.....

I reckon Chaelie quit smoking properly in the mid-eighties, when he cleaned up. Mick Jagger used to smoke cigarettes up till about 1987, I believe, although never in public. I read a Jerry Hall interview around that time when she said that he'd quit everything except cigs. He's quit now though.
