When will they start rehearsing again?
Posted by: stonesriff ()

With a little over a week to go with they rehearse for a few days and work on a new setlist?

"Is it any wonder that we fuss and fight"

new setlist change will amount to opening with Brown Sugar instead of JJF. Don't think full-scale rehearsals are required.....

They spent five days rehearsing for the European tour. After not having played together since NZ mid-April. I think they will stick with JJF as the opening song. Apart from Boston, NY, Chicago, Seattle, SF, Phoenix, Vegas and LA, they are playing "new places". So expect a standard setlist, much like the European shows.

there gonna rehearse at the Orpeum in BOSTON...but as stated earlier I expext little to no change..why would they start now..
I dont even have my ticket yet..
i think they'll be giving them away the day of the show outside...
its a Wednesday show as well...most will have to work Thursday so Im confident they'll be people outside with tickets of friends who decided not to go.
prediction=no change at all.

I think they will have to reshape / revamp their setlist in places where they tour for the third time in a year. Just to get a incentive coverage from media to boost sales in those cities.

They could open with "one hit to the body" with acoutic intro in the dark!

sales won't be boosted no matter what the Boston setlist turns out to be. folly to think that 10's of thousands of would-be concert attendees are sitting on the fence waiting to see whether any changes are in the offing....

No major setlist change AND Kanye West opening...What a @#$%& disaster!

I hope they would do something different this time around, and I don't mean putting Brown Sugar as the opener and closing with JJF. But that is most likely what will happen, so what is the point in rehearsing. They'll maybe play a song or two they have rehearsed recently like maybe Hang Fire instead of She's So Cold. But sadly I don't expect much more than that which is why I am passing on these concerts. I hope they prove me wrong.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT:

She's So Cold is OUT FOR GOOD

Live With Me/Bitch is IN, Alternate

there you go.....

I'll tell you one thing. If it's the same old setlist, Keith falling out of a coconut tree will be like a walk to the park. I'll knock his ass off the stage and throw Mick up into the onstage boxes. I'll let charlie alone and Ronnie? I'll just offer him a bottle of vodka. A quicker kill.

J.J. Flash....my kind of guy! I especially like the bottle of vodka for Ronnie.LOL

Well with Keith in LA playing movie star, it will be at least a few more days, before they start rehearsing again.

They only played 2-3 different songs during the european tour with 5 days of reaharsals. I can't see a different setlist.

What songs are you referring to? Aside from the once-played UMT, the setlists are no different (shorter, yeah) than before the European rehearsals.

Streets Of Love
Under My Thumb (only once)
Before They Make Me Run

Nothing else, and with 5 days of rehearsals...

SOL, okay - yeah, I try to forget about that. As for BTTMR, hardly any need to rehearse it in the first place...done to death, as recently as the Licks tour....

Maybe Under My Thumb for USA? They did it one time in Europe to staggering effect. SOL was never played in the U.S. either. They could maybe throw in a new ABB song too. Driving Too Fast. And have BOMH back. There's lots of possibilities. But you will get a warhorse as an opener and as an ender. Be sure of that. It's a gas every time.

If they don't mix it up be prepared for more bad reviews from fans and the media. Some of the locals NYC music papers last time they were in the US bashed the Stones for playing the same songs and not giving fans a taste of something different.

Mother's Little Helper would be a true highlight. They should simply try to play it, it'd be a great opener :'What a drag it is getting oooold?

Interesting. In NY they have played 40 different songs between the 3 shows at MSG and the one at Giants Stadium.

erik, I wasn't in the states for the second round of shows in Jan. but after the first two in 2005 I read some bad things about the lack of variety in their sets. There is a great Greenwich Village newspaper that always has good music reviews, can't think of the exact name of the publication off the top of my head.

1962-
Mother's Little Helper would be great live and even as the opener. Nice change and everyone should know this song so it should go over well

Not a new song to the set, though. So, Mick has to read the prompter a little more closely and brush up on his Italian. The band didn't have to learn anything new or practice anything they hadn't already played many times.

I expect something different in Boston, they have... i think, played something new to the tour at every Boston show.

Even if that is only SOL, I look forward to hearing that one live.

heck, I look forward to every second I can see the Stones HOWEVER I do expect a little shack up... nothing major BUT something new.

i hope
